These Terms of Service (these “Terms”) govern the use of the services, facilities, products, website, and any related offerings provided by Reissue (“Reissue,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a coffeehouse operating in Japan. By visiting our premises, purchasing our products, using our Wi-Fi or power-seat services, placing an order, or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services. These Terms are intended to comply with applicable laws and regulations of Japan, including the Civil Code, the Consumer Contract Act, the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and other relevant laws and ordinances, to the extent applicable.

By entering our premises, placing an order, making a purchase, using our website at reissue.co.jp, using our contact channels, or using any other service offered by Reissue, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

Where the user is a minor, the consent of a parent or legal guardian may be required under applicable law. If any provision of these Terms is inconsistent with mandatory consumer protection laws in Japan, such laws shall prevail to the extent of such inconsistency.

2. Scope of Services

Any menu descriptions, product images, pricing, origin statements, ingredient information, and availability notices are provided for convenience and may change without prior notice. Actual availability may vary by day, season, supply, or operational conditions.

3. User Obligations and Responsibilities

You agree to use Reissue’s services responsibly and in compliance with these Terms, house rules, applicable laws, and any reasonable instructions provided by our staff.

• Provide accurate and complete information when placing orders or making inquiries.
• Comply with all posted notices, seating rules, time limits, and queue procedures.
• Refrain from disturbing other customers, staff, or neighbors, including excessive noise, harassment, or threatening behavior.
• Refrain from damaging, misusing, or removing Reissue’s property, equipment, tableware, furniture, electrical outlets, or network services.
• Use Wi-Fi, power outlets, and seating only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with ordinary café use.
• Not bring illegal substances, dangerous items, or prohibited materials onto the premises.
• Not engage in any conduct that interferes with operations, sanitation, safety, or the comfort of other guests.

You are solely responsible for safeguarding your personal belongings. Reissue is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal items except to the extent caused by Reissue’s willful misconduct or gross negligence, as permitted by applicable law.

If you cause damage to Reissue’s property, equipment, or third-party property while using our services, you may be liable for the cost of repair, replacement, restoration, or associated losses to the extent permitted by law.

4. Payment Terms and Conditions

Prices for products and services are generally displayed at the premises or otherwise communicated through our sales channels. Unless expressly stated otherwise, all prices are in Japanese yen (JPY) and may include or exclude consumption tax as indicated at the time of purchase.

Payment is due at the time of purchase or as otherwise specified by Reissue. We may accept cash, card, electronic payment, or other payment methods, subject to availability and third-party service conditions. We may refuse a payment method if technical, security, verification, or operational issues arise.

• Orders are subject to acceptance by Reissue.
• Promotions, discounts, and special offers may be limited by quantity, time, or eligibility conditions.
• Additional charges may apply for extra items, customizations, takeout packaging, or other optional services.
• In the event of obvious pricing errors, Reissue may cancel the affected transaction to the extent permitted by law and promptly notify you.

If a payment is reversed, declined, disputed, or found to be fraudulent, Reissue may suspend further service, request alternative payment, or take appropriate steps permitted by applicable law.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Because our services often involve immediate preparation of food and beverages, cancellations, changes, and refunds may be limited.

• Dine-in / immediate orders: Once preparation has started or the item has been delivered, cancellations and refunds are generally not available except where required by law or where Reissue determines, in its discretion, that a refund is appropriate.
• Takeout orders: Cancellations may be possible only before preparation begins. Once preparation has begun, cancellation may be refused.
• Custom, seasonal, or limited items: These may be non-cancellable and non-refundable once ordered, except as required by applicable law.
• Defective or incorrect items: If an item is materially incorrect, defective, or unsuitable due to Reissue’s error, please contact us promptly. We may, at our discretion and subject to law, replace the item, issue a refund, or offer another reasonable remedy.

Any refund, if approved, will generally be processed using the original payment method or by another reasonable method selected by Reissue, subject to payment processor limitations.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any statutory right of cancellation, refund, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under Japanese law.

6. Liability Limitations

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Reissue shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profit, loss of opportunity, business interruption, or data loss arising from or related to the use of our services.

Reissue does not warrant that our Wi-Fi, power outlets, website, or other technical services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components. Service availability may be affected by equipment maintenance, network conditions, weather, emergencies, government orders, or third-party providers.

Reissue’s total liability for any claim arising out of or related to our services shall be limited to the amount actually paid by you for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim, except where such limitation is prohibited by law or where the loss is caused by Reissue’s willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Japanese law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by willful misconduct or gross negligence, where such exclusion would be invalid.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All trademarks, logos, service marks, trade names, photographs, menu designs, website content, text, graphics, product descriptions, and other materials provided by Reissue are owned by or licensed to Reissue and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publicly transmit, display, publish, translate, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any Reissue intellectual property without prior written consent, except as expressly permitted by law.

Any feedback, suggestions, or comments you submit to Reissue may be used by Reissue without restriction or compensation, unless prohibited by law, and you grant Reissue a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use such feedback for business purposes.

8. Data Protection and Privacy

Reissue will handle personal information in accordance with applicable Japanese privacy laws, including the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and any separately stated privacy policy or notices provided by Reissue.

10. Changes to Terms

Reissue may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in operations, law, technology, or business needs. The updated Terms will become effective upon posting on our website, display at the premises, or other notice given by Reissue, unless a later effective date is stated.

Your continued use of our services after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must discontinue using our services.

11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of Reissue’s services shall, to the extent permitted by law, be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance, unless another court is mandatorily required by applicable law.

13. Severability Clause
